Lexicon is a vocabulary-learning app. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the app and improve it, and we never sell your personal data.
Who we are
Lexicon ("we", "us") is the developer of the Lexicon iOS app. You can reach us at getlexiconapp@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Learning progress. The words you study, review history, streaks and settings are stored only on your device. They are never uploaded to us and are not synced between devices, so we cannot see them. If you back up your iPhone, that backup is made and controlled by you under Apple's terms.
- Anonymous usage analytics. We use PostHog (hosted in the EU) to collect anonymous, aggregated events about how the app is used — for example which screens are opened and which features are used. These events are tied to a random identifier, not to your name or email. Analytics only start once you have finished onboarding, and you can turn them off at any time in Settings.
- Subscription information. If you buy a subscription, purchases are processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat. We receive subscription status (active, expired, trial) and an anonymous purchase identifier — never your card number or full payment details, which stay with Apple.
- Feedback you send us. If you use Settings → Send feedback, we receive the message you wrote plus a short technical footer (app version, iOS version and device model) so we can reproduce the problem. If you fill in the optional reply-to field, we receive your email address as well, so we can answer you. Feedback is delivered to our inbox by Web3Forms, a form-delivery service. This is the only place the app collects an email address, it is entirely optional, and we use it solely to read and reply to your message.
What we do not collect
We do not require an account, and we do not collect your name, contacts, location, photos, or advertising identifiers. We do not use third-party advertising or ad tracking. We never ask for your email address except in the optional reply-to field described above.

Data retention
Learning progress lives on your device until you delete the app. Anonymous analytics are retained in aggregate. Feedback messages are kept as long as needed to help you.
Your choices
- Turn off analytics in Settings at any time.
- Delete your learning data by removing the app from your device.
- Contact us at getlexiconapp@gmail.com with any privacy request.
Children
Lexicon is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.
